The cooler on this card does seem to be a temporary design, the 7970's ES had the same shroud and fan :

Nah be better than a Titan by a small margin, the leaked benchmarks were using old drivers, next gen consoles ALL use Radeon and 8 core AMD cpu's, my ageing 570's need an upgrade.

Love Nvidia, but I'm moving over to Radeon, AMD is the future now, they've bagged the console market and games will be developed for their hardware, most pc ports are from consoles, Radeon makes sense!
