The 780 base is 863 MHz and boosts to 993 mhz.

Yet the Nvidia cards boost "to the moon" and you say nothing about the AMD card doing the exact same thing.

How very impartial of you.

780 boosts to 902mhz

Add about ~ +100 MHz to get what the GTX 780 boosts to, the GPU-Z boost doesn't show the "real" boost clock.
My GTX 670 FTW Boost was claimed to boost 1085 MHz in GPU-Z, its "real" max boost clock is 1228 MHz out of the box.
However it doesn't run at 1228 MHz all the time, but depending on TDP. GPU Boost 2.0 acts differently though.

hey ah, i thought the most accurate method of finding the actual boost clock was looking at the monitor graph in after burner. my understanding is gpu-z will give a "it will go somewhere in this neighborhood" speed and won't hit it if there is throttling or go a bit higher if there is some headroom with the temp and power target(?)
