If AMD under promises with all these teasers, and over delivers, all will be forgiven and it would be a coup for AMD. But, if AMD has taken a page out of Nvidia's marketing playbook, people may not be so amused. Speaking of which, didn't some high profile people from Nvidia's marketing leave and join AMD a year or two ago? just remember reading something about it in passing.

We don't know what the voltage for the R9 is. We don't know what max OC is. We don't know how the new architecture scales. We don't know how well the 512-bit bus will be utilized or how well it will OC. We don't know the price. We don't even know for sure how many SP's it will have. But we do know absolutely and in no uncertain terms that there is simply no way EVAR that it can possibly beat the 780 or Titan.

Seems legit.

Obviously they are going to announce something, but we don't know what exactly. Could just be a bunch of glitzy marketing slides and product pictures, with no hard data. Could be a full reveal and retail availability. But don't they normally do these things with just the tech press present, and mostly go over architecture and features and stuff? I've seen no rumors that review NDAs will lift tomorrow, and no indication that reviewers even have cards yet (normally you see veiled hints).

One thing seems clear though, whatever it is, it is being run by the marketing department and not by the tech department.
