i never doubted you could crossfire tri fire or even quad fire the new cards, it would be dumb if you couldnt on amd's end lol, i was just bringing up that some people thought you could only have one of the cards running for some reason lol.

You're missing the fact that "2 GPUs" is a lot more vague than "a pair of R9 290X's"...A lot of people (incorrectly, I might add) use the term GPU when they mean graphics card and while it is scummy, this isn't really as vague...It probably is on a pair of R9 290Xs, maybe they're OCed or something.

Build a PC roughly equivalent to the Xbox 360 or PS3 in terms of specs, try to run recent games at console like settings and then tell me that having the ability to optimize past DX still does nothing.

This disturbs me. I planned on pushing two of these in pcie 3.0 8x as well as a pcie 3.0 4x capture card. Somehow, I see the lack of Xfire bridge being an issue for my socket 1155 mobo

An equivalent to an Xbox 360/PS3 would be athlon II x3 at 3.2ghz, 512 mb of ram and a geforce 7800 GTX of 256mb

But... if console hardware is that bad...

Mantle with similar levels of optimisation would crush the Titan drool.gif

Majority of motherboards would be pci-e 2.0 x8 x8. So don't know what they are thinking.

How many people on older hardware will opt for high end cards in crossfire?1155 SB boards?I am sure the biggest part of their target group can take advantage of this.

I think Maxwell will have an ARM chip on it, but I don't think Hawaii does.
