HTPC upgrade advice

Hey Guys!

So I'm trying to decide which route to take upgrading my HTPC. I'm currently using my home server system (signature) as my HTPC, with archlinux running XBMC, everything is smooth but I want to clean my home theater, having my Gamma there is just too ugly (was thinking buying a Silverstone GD07), maybe adding a video card for better audio support because I'm using integrated one which caused me some trouble regarding drivers and xorg version in linux (btw, I'm being sarcastic with "some trouble"... it was more like hell on earth, while apes trying to kill humans... and zombies... nazi zombies... it was bad biggrin.gif).

I have an Asus P8P67, Corsair HX650 and Silverstone TJ-08E just grabbing dust (thanks to SG05) and maybe I can change things a bit. What would you do:

1. Buy GPU for current system (GT640 $95 or other GPU)
2. Buy CPU for P8P67 and use integrated (something like i3-3220 $125, integrated intel HD-2500)

I don't really have a budget, I'm trying to save as much as possible of course. Any other suggestions appreciated, thanks in advanced! thumb.gif

Edit: forgot to mention, I'm using HDMI from whatever is playing my local files to a Marantz NR1403. Planning a future UD-5007 purchase hence my thought about upgrading for better audio support for bluray movies.

If you're going to get integrated intel, why not invest wholly and get HD4000 built in? I understand keeping it cheap, but you'll be happier in the long run.

+1, both the HTPC that I'm running and the one I build for my daughter use the Ivy Bridge i3 3225 and I was amazed at the picture quality compared to the standard Verizon supplied STB. I need to run Windows Media Center because of Verizon cable channels and haven't had any glitches at all.
