Intel i5 4670k Haswell Overclocking Help

Thread Starter
Hey guys. I'm pretty new to overclocking but I understand the basics of it. I have been trying to overclock my Intel i5 4670k Haswell. I followed the guide on here and set my vcore to 1.250 and multiplier to 46. My computer wouldn't even boot past UEFI. So I figured I got one of the crappier chips. So my current issue is. That I have it overclocked to 3.8 @ 1.250v. The weird thing is that this seems like way too much voltage for the 38 multiplier. I see people in the results thread at 4.6 @ 1.250v. I tried upping the multiplier but it becomes unstable at 39 multiplier with 1.250v causing BSOD when running Intel Burn Test. I am currently using a "Cooler Master V6 GT" heat-sink on the cpu. So I don't believe it's a cooling issue. I am hoping anybody has any ideas or insight on what might be wrong. Please help!

Thanks thumb.gif

What's your VRIN voltage and Uncore voltage (RING)? Try 1.80 for VRIN and 1.15 for RING along with the 1.25 VCore.

What the above poster said. You need to mess with more than just the vcore voltage. Also 1.25 is waay to high for 3.8 consider that stock it boosts to that.

V6 is NOT a good cooler..
You really should add your rig to your signature.'
You start with that "Rigbuilder" link in upper-right corner.Next it's "Create Rig"
Hopefully you can figure it out from there smile.gif
If not..I or someone else will walk you through it thumb.gif

Oh, I forgot to mention that you should make sure Load Line Calibration (LLC) is off, as well as the C-States.
