XFX GTS250, ASUS ENGTS250, SLI, PSU questions

Thread Starter
Hello all,

So I have several questions.

Basically I have two graphics cards sitting next to me. I have an XFX GTS250 512MB, and an ASUS ENGTS250 1GB. I was wondering several things as follows:

Are these cards the same except for the memory? How do they compare?

Can I run these two cards in SLI?

What would the power requirements be to run them in SLI?

How outdated are these cards?

Thank you for answering my questions!

You can run them in sli if you activate coolbits , but the card with 1gb will only use 512mb.
Coolbits is a registry hack.. Google
Each card will use approx145 watts at full pelt
Cards are a few years old but still relevant, only use direct x 10. Shouldn't matter, unless you wanna run 3 screens or max resolution with all settings on high for latest Intense games.

Cards will be basically the same 'under the hood'... Same gpu, may have slightly different clocks..if problems when running sli, try setting all clocks to same.
also will need sli connector and motherboard with sli capability.. If the graphic slots are too close the top card will run warmer.
Hope this helps.. Good luck
