Front panel switches

Hi everyone cheers.gif

I'm new to this community and soon to be a proud owner of an SM8 smile.gif
Thanks to Daniel @ Singularity Computers for guiding me in this direction.

My future planed build will be a black and white theme.. so my question is if the stock front switches are replaceable?
In Tom Logan's review of the SM8 he mentions that they are Lamptron Vandal switches and from my pow they look very similar to them.

Yup those are them. As usual the sizing is a bit off. The power switch has a 19mm body and a 22mm face, the reset has a 16 body and 19mm face. Depending on who is selling them different sizes get listed.

Hey Kevin smile.gif

Regarding them vandal switches again...

ie. PerformancePCs sells them with or without wiring..

Will I be able to remove the wiring on the stock switches onto the replacing ones? or will i need to buy them pre-wired ?

The smaller switches are easy to unplug, the bigger one, not so much. Your mileage may vary.

I had an extremely difficult time teying to remove the wiring from the switch that I eventually ened up ripping it off. I just ended up buying the wiring as well. Oh and Lamptron switches are a little different than the PPC ones. I find that the Lamptron's are a little brighter and have more push resistance.
