Cooling a FX5200

Thread Starter
Yes, its a "lame" card for some of you out there... but its what I can afford for now.

Question, I want to (have! :|) overclock this card... but it runs blazin hot.
What is the BEST way to cool this thing (other than LQ) without taking up the space of an extra slot below it.

I guess what I should really ask is.. is installing a fan (make shift! ) the best way to go..?
How do I do that? ..

A makeshift fan? I dunno about that but you should try to get a nice fan and use AS5 (Arctic Silver 5 in case u didn't know) as your thermal paste. There are some add-on fans to put on your card. Just remember to use AS5 but wipe off the other paste already on there. I'd go addon fan to what u already have (if you have a fan on it). Good Luck

yes you should try that mod, but make sure you give those fans some breathing room to intake some cool air.
