So when competing in a niche market, the two giants of the industry should play nice? Nvidia and AMD are in business to make money, not to please emotional forum dwellers.

One the big issues Nvidia emphasized in this context is how Radeons using dual HDMI outputs to drive a 4K display can exhibit vertical tearing right smack in the middle of the screen, where the two tiles meet, because they're not being refreshed in sync. This problem is easy to spot in operation
...
Fortunately, you can avoid this problem on Radeons simply by using a single DisplayPort cable and putting the monitor into DisplayPort MST mode. The display is still treated as two tiles, but the two DP streams use the same timing source, and this vertical tearing effect is eliminated.

I figure if you drop thousands of dollars on a 4K gaming setup, you can spring for the best cable config. So one of Nvidia's main points just doesn't resonate with me.

yawn.

HDMI is for TVs.

My guess it's something to do with a TWIMTBP gaming bundle to replace the Free to play garbage bundle , or Unreal Engine 4 with a new bench to replace Valley.

Unreal Tournament 4? Gears of War 4?

That's what would I see coming. Cryengine and Frostbite (questionable) are major competitors and as we know both Crysis 3 & BF4 are AMD "Gaming Evolved" titles.

I threw up a little at the thought of it being anything GeForce Experience related.

Volcanic Islands are going to be such a rain on their parade especially since 20nm isn't ready and Maxwell isn't designed for 28nm.
Too bad Nvidia you said the same about PhysX and Nvidia 3D which both weren't that good.
