Had to be from India. I'm from Kolkata. I wouldn't call your PSU good wink.gif. Change it as soon as you can. Even a 460 or 430 watt PSU will easily do. But I'd get a 600Watt psu just incase you ever buy a high end card or decide to crossfire. What resolution are you running at?
My friend was using what you call a local PSU with a 5750. Served him well for two years and then blew up. thumb.gif
What are the rest of your system specs?

Pick any PSU from this list:
http://www.overclock.net/t/183810/faq-recommended-power-supplies

I would go for a 400W+ PSU but a good 350W PSU would be fine to.
With say a 450W PSU you can go up to a HD7850/GTX660 GPU no problem.

P.S:
Your PSU is only about 250W.
12V X 17A is just 204W.
the 3V and 5V are less important.

thanks for the quick replies but as per this link http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine my usage should be around 220 w (unplugging my dvd romwhich i barely use ) so practically speaking it would be using around 240w to 250w under load and +5v rails also does matter a bit what do u guys say rolleyes.gif
also if i HAVE to change my psu then how about the 7790 its around 11k

Prices have rise a lot in India lately because of the depreciated value of the rupee against the dollar. Dude a lot depends upon the quality of the PSU. A local PSU rated for 250watts may not even supply 220watts. That PSU has no over-voltage protection and if You live in India it's quite a necessity. What are the rest of your components? Where exactly in India are you from? Welcome to OCN smile.gif]
What resolution do you game at? The 7790 isn't worth it for Rs 11,000. I purchased my Gtx 650Ti two months back for Rs 9,500. Wait till prices drop a little.

Oh and i generally game at 1024*768 but i sometimes attach this system to my full hd 40" led tv
post #8 of 8
The 7750 would do good at a low resolution of 1024x768. Anything higher and you would want a better card.
