I have a question regarding to lightning kits and tubes..

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=20729:1ceba95227540457e0d4e6f0e557558c

These cathode tube is UV and don't have inverter, can i actually add them tube to my fan controller? Curious, it says in description can add to fan though.... it will save me some dough so i don't have to buy the whole kits. biggrin.gif

most run on the 3 pin fan headers. careful when installing these. the cathodes are glass and are quite brittle when it comes to vibrations

So your saying i can just buy set of tubes and hook em up to my fan controller? What about wattage per channel from controller.. does it matter?

i cannot say accurately since that website lacks in the details.

I can say though that it states you need either a specific style of fan or the cathode kit so if you have neither you will probably need to buy that. I am guessing that the power incerter is there to change to a different style of current so it is likely that you will need a starter kit

This tube works with most Cold Cathode Kits and most Cold Cathode Fans. This is not a full kit. Add this tube to any Logisys or most other brand cold cathode kits or fans for that Super Bright Look.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, seems to me that it is saying that those tubes are just "Add-on" or replacement tubes that must be used with an inverter from a kit.
