7950 xfire gpu1 downclocking to idle at certain scenes in heaven 4

I exchanged 2 gpu's pie slot to make the better one be primary card. But after overlooking at 1140/1500@1.25v, which is stable before changing slots, the gpu1 occasionally downclocked to 300/150 then jumped back during heaven 4. I did a clean driver reinstallation and disabled upls and override. Anyone can give me some help?

Have you tested the cards running stock clocks? If the card no longer performs in that manner with stock clocks I would say it's that the overclock is unstable and you may need to lower it a bit. If it is still performing as such then raise the power limit on just the card your having said issues to see if it's performance will stabilize like the other card.

The issue with CFX overclocking is that your results are only as good as your weakest card if running them at the same clock speed.

Good Luck,
cmac

The overclock at 1140/1500 1.25v 120% power limit is stable before I exchange their slots. The first run of heaven 4.0 has no problem, and I got 1800 very close to it used to get. But after that, I can only get about 1580. I monitored the clock during tests. I seems the gpu1 only downclock to 300/150 when the FPS is very high, usually above 120fps. But the gpu2 was always running at designed clock. I suspect it is some kind of power saving option that forced gpu to downclock. I already disabled upls.
