3DMark Won't Load after installing 4930K on X79 UP4

I'm having trouble with Firestrike (3DMark) not loading. I get a message saying GUI has stopped working, and it won't let it launch.

I recently switched to X79, and while I had a 3930K, it all worked fine. I have been playing games and today I wanted to see the bench results and nothing.

I have a steam version of 3dmark, and that gives me a weid error wirh a code and an option to copy and paste it. I also tried installing version 1.1 from Guru3D and that doesn't even launch.

Does any one have an idea of what could be wrong?

Thanks!!!!

This fix is for 3dmark11, but it might work for firestrike too. I went through this problem a while back.

Thanks man! Any idea how to access the appdata folder that is hidden under users?

Computer/Local disk/Users/YourComputerName/

While in that folder, press Alt button on your keyboard. Then Tools on top, folder options, View, and then select Show hidden files, folders, and drives. Press ok/apply

Then Appdata folder will show up.

Also check that the Futuremark systeminfo service is starting and not disabled.

Went in the appdata folder and deleted everything belonging to futuremark/3dmark and that fixed the problem. thumb.gif
