Windows 8 blows man. Why anyone would willingly want to use it is beyond me. The latest and greatest in the OS world is not always better. Windows millennium ring a bell?

If you would turn off that negativity of yours and check the new and improved stuff in windows 8 it's not even close to XP Millenium Edition.

Windows 8 hates something on my computer, don't know what component but I always get blue screens when using sleep mode. That and every AMD driver I have tried on Win8 also cause BSOD. I really want to use windows 8 (the UI looks really nice), but getting BSODs that don't occur on my win7 installation prevents me from really trying it. I hope windows 8.1 fixes whatever is causing all these issues for me.

Is 8.1 out yet? If so, has OP updated?

the only reason it hates my mobo is the way I set it up in the bios I think...

I had massive CPU spikes when I switched to Windows 8 -- caused by webpages loading. Turns out the problem was Kaspersky Internet Security 2013. Once I upgraded to Kaspersky 2014, everything was fine. It might not be a hardware issue. Might be a software compatibility issue with something -- anything.

I know it's frustrating. Hopefully Win8.1 solves all these bugs. Windows 8 is amazing if you have multiple monitors -- I would stay away if you don't.
