No Leaks. but now.. :(

Thread Starter
So I started the leak test, of my h50 mod with the swiftech reservoir and push/pull configuration..

I filled the reservoir and started the psu... and the pump started, the level went down so I stopped the psu, to refill the reservoir... (no more refills btw).

After 1 hour or so, I checked again, and no leaks!.. the paper I put under all the connections, where totally dry, not a single drop of coolant spilled.

So I had to go out to take care of a couple of things, and thought... hey, I´ll stop the test, and continue when I come back! (in 20 minutes), and so I did, to find that while still no leakage at all, when I turned the power again, no way josé!! frown.gif I tried connecting a hard drive, but still nothing! (the psu seems like it has stopped working!!.. frown.gif or is it the pc?)

Don't know what to do now!!.... please give me some advice!! frown.gif

Use the paperclip method to test if the psu is working.

I did and the pump works now..

.. Well this is a nightmare!! just plain silly! Let me explain!

The mobo (yes psu plugged into it) didnt start, no leds no nothing!, so I ordered new mobo (ga-z87x-ud5h) and cpu i7-4770k and finally when received, I was going to dismantle the old one but hit the power button just to see one more time... And EVERYTHING worked!!

So I sent back newer mobo and cpu cause I cant afford to have them if mines working!

Everything worked well for 2 days, my i7-950 had a cpu core of 30-31 celsius on bios, and pump was working, all fans etc. But now suddenly the machine turned off, and in bios it was over 98 celsius and going up!! So I opened the case and noticed the pump wasnt going.. the water stood still!!

Now what?? what happened?? Is the pump dead? Or did it get turned off somehow?

Geezz.. I have built like 20+ machines all easy and great working workstations, with air cooling, water (h50, h70, h100), and now this one is giving me such a headache?? really??

Should I just burn down the entire ****, and buy everything new (again!)?? Its just depressing!!

Ok back to reality.. if its the pump now, I could always get some new watercooling, but its just strange that mine stopped after 20 hours of leak test (no leaks whatsoever) and then two dats working perfectly with the system.

Any ideas?

Now I took a break and came back to test the pc, and nothing turns on again!! not even the psu!

I will disconnect the psu and jump it again to see if anything works.

Why is this happening? Am I getting crazy here?

The psu (jumped) works perfectly, so i did remove the entire water cooling and will try later today with the original intel fan that came with the cpu, just to see if everything works then or the fan do stops too and then the motherboard.

Cause im believing its some failure with the pump shorting the mobo thru the plug.. I mean, if no leak, if it did about 24 hours great in leak test, and it did work for about 2days before it stopped, and then it worked again on jumped psu, for so not work from the mobo.. but the mobo did work and booted the system, but then again stopped and mobo wont turn, must be some strange thing happening.

Any ideas? before I kick the case with all in it, until my feet bleed!? Or i throw it in the garden and waterhose it down while I sing Kumbaya, or some Rage against the machine?? tongue.gif
