Good day folks, i'm about to build the first rig on my signature, where i live sometimes electricity power suddenly shut down and we have not generators etc. So i'm forced to run and disconnect every electronics devices before the power come back. I have a cheap voltage regulator, i'm not sure if it is enough to protect the system integrity.

Ok, i don't do anything productive with my Pc beside gaming, homeworks and internet, what i'm looking is to protect my investment. If the answer is yes i should get an UPS for the safety reasons, then, which UPS would you recommend at me? I'm bit short of money rigthnow, i would like one good but cheap unit with the minimun protection my Pc needs.

I guess you guys being hardware enthusiast also know a lot of power protection. Any imput is very welcome.

A cheap UPS? For that sig rig? I don't know how realistic that is. With SLI 780 classys, a 3970X, your monitor/speakers and whatever else you have plugged in, you're probably going to want a UPS that can output 800+ watts in case your power cuts out mid-game.

I use CyberPower's PFC Sinewave 510W for my sig rig and it's been perfect thus far. It outputs a pure sine wave signal which eliminates some compatibility issues with Active PFC PSUs (which is pretty much all of them these days). I've had my power cut off twice since installing it and it's swapped over to battery power without a hitch.

Great battery life too. While web browsing it can handle 30+ minutes on battery backup alone.

I see, but is important to have a UPS or i can hold just with my voltage regulator, as i said, i don't use the pc other than gaming.

Ok let me understand, so i must look for UPS with 800W+ and how much VA?
