iPhone owners want the new iPhone because it's a new iPhone. Not because it has this function and this feature. I've had to remove about 20 people from my facebook because all they kept saying was "OMG SOMEONE GET ME A GOLD 5S ASAP!!!!"
Why doesn't apple stuff their latest and greatest with the best current offering in tech? Because they don't have to, and they'll still sell out of them. They are a business after all.
Spoiled, rich kids running around spending their parents money. I understand not every single iPhone owner is like that...but the vast majority have absolutely no idea what hardware is, let alone differences between chipsets.
I'd have to say that the majority of people who buy an iPhone do it with their own money, or they get it as a birthday present, or Christmas, or a Graduation present. You don't have to be spoiled or rich to get an iPhone 5S. Nor do the majority of iPhone users fit that description.
All they care about is that this is a new Apple iPhone, it's got the apple on the back, they must have it.
Steve Jobs is responsible for the continuing spread of stupidity and ignorance amongst the youth of today. But hey, at least it makes undesirable people more easy to spot. Compare an android handset with the iPhones...I just have no idea how you can possibly use a device with such a tiny screen.
I'm sorry but that reason is just as bad as the people buying Samsung Galaxy S because it's "allegedly" the best smartphone out there. Or because they hate Apple since "Apple sucks." It's just as idiotic if not even more so. At least when people buy an iPhone as an accessory they do it for a clear reason. Because it's trendy and displays a certain "level" of wealth or trendiness. Both reasons which are perfectly acceptable to me considering the demands of society these days.
They are also far more rational to me than the pseudo-intellectuals who presume to know about hardware or the market, business ethical landscape trying to make a "statement" by buying a Samsung Galaxy SIV. I'm sorry, but people posting excited posts over buying an iPhone 5S is FAR MORE
tolerable than seeing a multitude of posts telling me why the iPhone sucks or Apple sucks, or why you shouldn't buy it, or this and that. Just like the snobbishness of the Battlefield 3 community, telling CoD gamers to "stay out" of their game.

Not sure he needs to edit his post because it's quite right on point.
As opposed to the non-existent Tech support everywhere else? Please. Apple tech support is a Godsend compared to their competitors.
