New to Water Cooling, Need Help

I'm still new to watercooling, and I've never even used a watercooled rig. But I'm considering doing one. The basics of my rig are an ASUS Crosshair V Mobo, an AMD FX-6300 CPU, and an ASUS Radeon HD 7790 DirectCU II. It's gonna be in a Corsair Carbide Series 300R. I may upgrade to a beefier FX later on, but what is the best watercooling loop from Corsair I can get for this rig? And can I use the Air Series fan like the one in the link below without any performance impact?

Are you talking about a sealed loop watercooling loop. If you are then you can fit the H100i in that.

I would also go with the Gentle Typhoon AP15's since they have the best static pressure for the H100i as well.

Yeah, I was thinking sealed loop. Can this handle the most powerful FX there is with no problem? Thanks, and if I come up with any more ideas, I'll let you know. smile.gif

Unless you want to go with a custom loop then yes, I mean if you were to have an i5 4570k @4.5ghz you'd get around 70c on that. So it's pretty good.

Is there a more red-themed fan that I could get?

If you're going to go with aesthetics rather than performance and quietness then it's a pretty bad decision.

However that being said

Looks are more second best for me. Does the Typhoon has as good or better performance than the ones that come with the H100i?

Typhoons are Quieter than the stock H100i fans, depending on what rpm ones you get.
The H100i radiator is only 27mm thick, not sure on the fpi (fins per inch) but it's a very thin radiator so you don't need very strong fans for it, It is not very restrictive.

Another option would be Corsair .
