Asus MX279H Backlight bleeding problems?

So i just got me a brand new Asus MX279H, and aparently it has some serious backlight bleeding problems on the bottom left corner.

Pic:

Can i rma it and get a replacement? Can anyone tell me how much does this process take usually?

There definitely looks to be a pressure mark there, but the angle at which the photo is taken would also mean that you might be capturing IPS glow. Take the picture from further back (2m or so if possible) and make sure the camera is as central as possible, straight on with the monitor.

Here is how it looks straight on




When i am watching movies i can definitely notice the bright gray area and it's really distracting :|

Thanks for that, I just wanted to confirm it was definitely backlight bleed rather than IPS glow. And this confirms that. tongue.gif

Where did you buy it and how long have you had it for?

I just got it, have it less than a day. And i got it from Germany, i live in Greece but ordered the monitor from Germany.

From Amazon or another store? Amazon are excellent with RMA's, get that initiated ASAP and they'll walk you through everything. I haven't heard much about how this works internationally but I imagine the process is similar.

Sadly no, but we have Asus customer support here in Greece i should call them i guess. Hopefully it'll get replaced pretty fast rolleyes.gif
