Oh yes we will, oh yes we will.
As far as I'm concerned the ONLY people who have a right to show any happiness about this are the few people like myself who didn't bash Onlive to death saying it wasn't possible. The few people like me who didn't bash Microsoft to death over using the cloud for Xbox One.
I'm sure some of you will try to point out that "this" or "that" is different. It won't matter. It will be pure and obvious bias towards Valve.
For the record I think this is GREAT and awesome news. I think it's freaking amazing. I just know though I'll be sick to my stomach seeing so many people praise this all the while blasting similar attempts by others.
Their talking about streaming from your desktop over your home network, not streaming the entire game from them. BIG difference! Also Valve isn't forcing anything on anyone. They are expanding the reach of the Steam platform, this was an obvious move after their very outspoken support of Linux.
Onlive = Requires constant internet, streams games from internet to your "device"
Steam = Offline mode (yes I can turn that on and never have an issue), no forced updates on single player games (some multiplayer games can be skipped to, but you cant go online with them), games installed on your hard drive, streaming from desktop over home network.
Get your facts straight before you call others out.
