Upgraded to Win8 - BF3 keeps freezing. Is this a GPU problem, OS problem, driver problem, or something else entirely?

I have a stable OC on my card (stable in heaven/valley/bf3(win7)) 1215/7204.

Back when I was on windows 7, if my graphics driver crashed, my OC settings would be reverted. So, if the driver crashed, my card would reset to 1006 boost core clock and 6004 mhz memory.

Now that I'm on windows 8, when I crash, my OC profile is retained. In other words, I'm pretty sure it isn't my graphics driver crashing.

Win 8 task manager is garbage because for starters, it doesn't even show up when I click task manager. So I have to press B, hit delete, then enter... and hope its bf3 its terminating.

I doubt its my graphics card because I can push it to 1242mhz/7400mhz but then my temps are kinda on the high side. It is stable in heaven 4.0 with those speeds. In fact, I've been able to push the memory OC up to 7600... but that isn't stable in games like bf3/planetside.

I have no idea what is going on.

My game randomly stops working.

i played a round just now with stock speeds and the game crashed... it just locks up...

I thought BF3 was supposd to work on windows 8...

Locks on overclock

Clearly you'd want to revert to stock to do any sort of diagnostics or troubleshooting..
