Hi all,
I´m thinking to buy some items to make a new build, atm my build is:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @3000 Mhz
8GB DDR 2 800Mhz
Asus P5K-SE
Corsair AX-850
Asus GTX660Ti CUII
Triple Monitor Asus VH238H

I´m thinking about this build,

Intel i7-4770K
Asrock Z87 Extreme6
16GB(8GB*2) (maybe from corsair)
and later i think i will buy new display card to do sli., later maybe a powersupply 1200 corsair

i have some question to ask you all(that know much more then me)

The Corsair AX-850 will work fine with 4770k and z87 extreme6 right?
Extreme6 support more then 3TB HD?

Thanks alot all

Don't bother with the 4770k if you're just gaming, it's not worth the extra $$$ for the few extra FPS. Go with the 4570k

Next I wouldn't bother with the ASRock board, have a look at the GA-Z87X-D3H.

You'll never need a 1200w PSU, it's a complete waste and not good for the PSU to underload it by that much.

If you wanted to do SLi I would replace your existing card to be honest. It's not really worth it.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/860?vs=768

That's just an example why SLi would be pointless, get a new single card and it'll perform just as good, if not better and you won't get microstutters.

If only I could make a machine last for 7 years....

However on the motherboard side of it, unless ASRock have decided to upgrade their VRM's which I doubt, the gigabyte board VRM's are excellent. They use an IR power design which use high end VRM's, the next best is ASUS who use their own bespoke power design called DiGi if I remember rightly.

When you say "board" I assume you mean CPU, unless you're running multi-threaded applications (which I doubt if you're only using it for gaming) it's not really worth the extra money. Games won't use it that much at all to be honest.

Also, don't bother with the GTX770, the 7970 Ghz edition outperforms in most circumstances and you've got a couple of new cards coming out soon as well (R3-9970)
