your mobo adjust for the fsb speed though
so like a stock fsb of 266 shows 533/667/800 and such
chang your fsb to 270 now it reads 540/675/810

some boards might not show this and so even at 400fsb it stil might show 533/667/800 even though 533 could really be the 1:1 ratio and as such would run at 800Mhz.

I give up, I just might go a get a new board today.
I use my pc for video editing/rendering, and little on game. Any recommendation on the new board? Also I want to be able to run quad core in the future.

I recommend the ASUS P5B deluxe. It's soooo easy to OC with that board. The first time I did it, I manually set my CPU:RAM ratio to 1:1 and now whenever I change the cpu clock speed, my bio automatically changes the ram bus speed to maintain 1:1. The board is bit expensive, but it's worthed every penny D:
