Two with back light bleed and one looked used and damaged.

You'll need at least another 670 to run these monitors.

It should be remembered that most if not all of the Korean screens are those which did not meet Apple's A+ requirement for their Thunderbolt displays. therefore you pay quite a premium for a pixel perfect screen because that is what they have fewest of.

It is not true to say you will need at least 1 more 670 to run these monitors, if it were I would not be getting 83FPS playing BF3 on Ultra settings (but with no MSAA just FXAA) with my MSI GTX670 PE OC (1337 Core / 7048 mem). As the PB278Q is a 60hz monitor 61 FPS is perfectly adequate and allows you to keep your GPU temps low. Also contrary to popularly held belief I have never maxed out my 2GB VRAM at 1440P (although I do not play Skyrim with mods admittedly).

I am concerned however that BF4 might cause me some VRAM issues!

Just play Crysis 3, Metro or even Far Cry 3 maxed out and you'll soon realize you need more video card.

I can play Metro 2033, Metro Last Light and Far Cry 3 fine although they all use a lot more VRAM admittedly and its just as smooth for me at 1440P as it is on my son's GTX 670 on his 1080P monitor (I have to turn PhysX off on Last Light though otherwise I get driver crashes). Perhaps I am just lucky that my GPU is a great OCer but I dont get how I use so much less VRAM than others unless it is the FXAA. Dont play Crisis 3 and dont want to!

Either way I reckon it will be fine until Maxwell (or R290X if VFM and has decent drivers) and Haswell-E when I plan to do my next build. If not and the 290X shakes the 780 as it is purported to do, prices will drop and i can upset the missus with a new purchase if i have to!thumb.gif

Its decision day. I think as much as I really would like to grab one of those korean monitors and oc it 120hz and save a couple hundred dollars. I just can't do it. No where does there seam to be a reliable source to get them. every seller i have seen has had some pretty negative reviews in regards to communication and or exchange problems with back light bleed. it just doesn't seam worth the hassle and risk

I would like to thank those who have added to this thread in a positive way.

That's because you believed a lot of misinformation in this thread.

There are a few good sellers with great feedback, dream-seller and accessorieswhole for example.

Backlight bleed isn't difficult to fix.

My understanding, and you'll want to check the threads dedicated to the Korean panels, is that the "120hz" claim made by many of them is questionable, as frame-skipping is rampant, and they aren't actually running at 120fps, even if they're showing that. Some of them will get that high, but it's hard to guarantee.

Please don't post false information or things that you simply don't know about.

There is no frame-skipping on the Qnix/X-Star all frames are being displayed at the higher overclocks, it has already been proven.

Catleap 2B Extreme is a waste of money, you can almost buy an eyefinity setup of Qnix/X-Stars for the price of one Catleap.

Overlord is a complete waste of money now as well, since they offer nothing over the Korean panels.

No one is continually RMAing their power bricks every month.

I've had my Qnix for several months now and my power brick has been just fine.

You will want a second 670, trust me. I use a pair of 680 Lightnings when I have a 1440p/1600p display in use and I have never felt like I need mor, I jjust want more lol.

But I am actually going to be getting rid of the Lightnings and getting a second 670FTW, which will still be plenty. I would love to have a pair of 780 Classy or Lightnings, but I just can't justify the expense.

So long as you use Post-processing AA like FXAA (or ideally SMAA), you will see no performance hit from the AA and the image quality will be 99.9 percent as good as with MSAA.
