i7 3770k batch

Thread Starter
my new i7 3770k came today & still transferring/installing stuff from the reformat so its not clocked yet, the batch # is 3235F211 & apparently is non existent on the internet, is there any results of this or close batches in oc scaling? its an E1 revision but that alone doesnt show anything i seen good/bad results from both E0 & E1 nullifying the "all E1's are horrible" that some say.

Best bet is work quick but carefully, and get it fired up, I was like that with my 3820, turns out it is the classical average clocker, best of luck, and I feel for you man smile.gif

so stock vcore is 1.10v & stock turbo is 1.208v, i have offset at +0.04v for 4.4ghz & its done 300 runs of linpack = 10 hours thats 1.248v load with llc off as always, 4.5ghz fails in seconds at the same, and +0.03v offset fails in minutes at 4.4ghz, it seems decent compared to others i think 4.5ghz if my vcore assumption for it will be correct, will be the max ill put it to. now im just working with the ram & why its being picky..

havent rerun the test with reduced pll etc yet.

seems 4.4ghz is what i stay at or 4.5ghz absolute max but i dont think its worth it, 4.4ghz at 1.248v is stable peaking at 86c & 4.5ghz was somewhat stable at 1.288v peaking at 89c so its looking like 1.296v or 1.312v probably peaking at 92c for 4.5ghz, tried pll overvoltage & all the vrm/current options nothing has any effect for any speed so far so theyre all at stock/intel spec. settled for 1600mhz ram @ 8-8-8-26-1T @ 1.58v though theyre rated for 1800 8-8-8-26-1T @ 1.65v they wouldnt stabilize at 1800 not even at 9-9-9-26-2T @ 1.65v but at 1.66v they nearly did it so lets say 1.67v..im assuming and hoping the board just has lots of droop on dram & that vdimm is reading higher than it is rather than my memory "dying", though the current 1600 @ 8-8-8-26-1T 1.58v matches what they did on my nehalem system so..i opted to reduce strain on ivy bridge imc by taking the lower speed with near in spec vdimm (1.58v vs 1.575v) till i get a 8gb kit whenever they want to drop in price...

im pleased with it i seen many batches near 1.30v for 4.4ghz..despite my dated IHS thread below when it was not nearly as big as it is now, im not going to delid this cpu 1 of the reasons being 76/85/85/80 is good for a non soldered cpu that too i seen some getting over a 20c deviation between cores at speeds/volts less than mine.
