I think it has some smoothing? The sensor Zowie uses and Deathadder 3.5 (and a few others) is the better one. By how much... I dunno. Honestly I can't feel any issue with the Deathadder 2013, but I've never used the other "better" sensor. I tried the DA3.5 but I returned it when the lift off distance was like 3ft.

It was replaced from my local store with out a problem just had to wait for them to get the stock in. Personally i love the mouse it self its so much better than the ones perviously i have had with tracking it just feels so much smoother across my screen. Also the lift off distance seems to be way better with this as well, i went back to my rat 9, g9, and well i remember what the naga was like while i was wating for a replacement. Their lift off distance was so terrible also the reaction you get on screen when you do it makes it hard to focus on what i was doing in fast paced fps games.

My grip with this mouse is basically a cross between palm grip and claw. The middle of my hand is off the mouse at rest sorta like a claw although it does touch when i am frantically moving around but does not apply much pressure mostly because of the size of the DA 2013. My hand in general is more relaxed like a palm shape the claw shape is very cramped and i dont like it for long periods and feels like i have less control.
With other mice i have had like the g9 and rat 9 my grip is very simular but my palm dosnt touch because of the shorter length of the mouse instead its only my finger tips and the inside knuckles touch the mouse. With both grips my ring finger and pinky have as much contact as possible, my thumb is still in a claw style using the tip and joint to press thumb buttons. I have a medium size hand, as i use medium footjoy stasoft golf glove.
Hope this helps

Many people complaining about the smoothing on DA 2013, but it feels way more responsive than Zowies 450 DPI step imo. I'm using DA 2013 cause I need stable 1000hz. If 3.5G would have been stable @1000hz I would prefer that. Not a big fan of the rough coating on 2013, don't really like rubber coating either but the nice glossy sides makes up for it.

1000 hz stable give you nothing, you actually have much lower response time due to laggy sensor, 3.5G even at 125hz is more responsive

There's a big difference between 1000hz and 500hz when using lightboost.

i have to agree here with berseker. when i tried 500HZ my sensor lag seemed to dissapear with the deathadder 2013....

What kind of lag do you experience? Is it the smoothing? Normally I can't tell between 1000hz and 500hz, it's just that when using lightboost you want 1000hz.

Extremely subjective/situational.

Regardless of what setup is more laggy and vice versa, 500/1000hz will still offers superior smoothness and consistency of cursor path vs hand motion. On the flip side, consistency of updates may variate more with the higher values based on rate of movement speed. Controller clock timers and accuracy may relevant to specific mice.

Whatever setup works, works smile.gif

it just feels weird.. little delay... not really a delay but ohwell. im not sure... 1000hz on my Abyssus worked fine. not sure why its weird on my *4G* Sensor..
