Overclocking and Windows 8.

Thread Starter
hi,

ive had a stable overclock @ 4.6GHz with offset vcore (along with EIST) for quite some time now. with the recent upgrade to windows 8, realtemp/CPU-z show that my 3770k is pegged @ 4.6GHz even during idle and light loading conditions.

i was wondering if this is a possible problem with windows 8 or a problem with CPU-Z/RealTemp, any feedback is appreciated.

EDIT: nevermind, task manager seems to be properly showing downclocking. so i ended up re-opening RealTemp to double check and oddly enough, it was also showing EIST functioning.

Windows 8 is to New IMHO for any real OC and gaming benches, due to these kind of bugs.
