Adapter to Raise Monitor Height?

Hi, I have 2 Apple Cinema display 23" monitors on Humanscale stands. I have already bought a couple of cheap riser plates which bring the monitors up a bit but I need to raise them approx 10cm higher to match the iMac in the centre.

Basically what I need are the adapters below but as they only give me 50mm extension I need something like it with an extra 50mm length. Also not sure they are safe to use for raising a monitor (they are meant ot be used to extend a Vesa 100 mount horizontally)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008AS76M4/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=01X38S0NSB99HGBMRMKY&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=418448347&pf_rd_i=468294

Any ideas as its doing my head it. Cheers.

Cheers but the arms are clamped to a windowsill behind and below a glass desk so I can't raise the whole stands from there so I need to raise the height at the top of the arm/ vesa mount end.

Attach (epoxy?) a block of wood to the back of the monitor and screw that into the clamp?

Thanks. Your idea would do the trick I reckon so thanks for the info but I was hoping to find some type of metal adapter I could use which would keep it looking pretty pro and the wood block would have to be pretty thick as Cinema displays are monsters in terms of weight (solid aluminium weighs a tonne).

As I move the Cinema displays into different positions depending on what I'm doing and what FOV I need for different games like iRacing (a Thrustmaster T500rs on a wheelstand means I'm further away from the screens than when playing Metro Last Light with mouse and Orbweaver) and as I want to be able to fold them back almost completely in line with the iMac for other work the wood blocks depth would take a good bit of space.

I've attached 2 photos to give an idea of the problem and give an idea of the aesthetics I'm hoping to keep in line with. Cheers guys.smile.gif
