Router for Gaming?

Thread Starter
So I recently got Comcast internet. The speeds are great, getting about 27mb/s+.

However when playing online games, my ping would be around 49, no problem. Then randomly every 5min or so, I get a huge lag spike. 200, 300, 500 ping.

I am thinking my netgear wndr3700 is causing the problem? Seems like others have similar issues.

Are there any settings I should try?

Or should I just buy a router for gaming, which one?

Thanks

tongue.gif i would be willing to sell ya my asus AC1750 router, it still has the unlocked 200mW radio, but i think its a little out of your price range.... I suggest buying it at somewhere like walmart, where your not ridiculously charged for returning items. tongue.gif , no 15% restocking fees on anything but like TV's and crap.
