Headset / Headphones +mic + sound card for awesome gaming in fps(bf 4) - Page 2

Lets be frank, if you are not "must hear every single footstep from 1km radius" kind of gamer you will be extremely happy with the sound of any of the headphones I listed.

And yes, even the super bassy DT770 works fine in BF3 and BF2:Project Reality (I hate bf3, PR all the way). The PR grenade explosions are just that epic biggrin.gif

As for comfort, the HD330+Velours/DT990/DT770 win as the earpad size is larger and the velour feels like it's made in нεคvεห.
I washed them in washing machine after 1 year of daily +4h use, from salty&crispy back to marshmallow.

Ok i will see Those models that you recommend me also

I agree Beyerdynamic have some exceptional models, check out the Audio Technica ATH-AD700's aswell. The AD700's are not very bassy, and you will miss that bone crunching explosion, but they are awesome for music, have a wide open sound stage and are very comfortable.

AFAIK, AD700 is rare in Europe. If you can find one it's overpriced (133€=180$).

ok i decided and i want to buy sennheisers . PC 360/350 or 363d what do you recommend mostly ? i am thinking of 363 d but it i get it do i need sound card for it ?
I still recommed Superluxes + mic (Zalman for example) + cheap audio card (Asus Xonar DGX etc.). You get MUCH more for your money than buying those Sennheisers.

If you are buying the senns pc360 or 363d. I would recommend the pc360's as the 363d are the exactly the same but with an inbuilt usb soundcard. zxr creative or asus stx dedicated soundcard are so much better than any USB connection. I own the pc360 and for competitive gaming it is rock solid. Soundstage is wide and airy, nice detail and positional accuracy. Now the bass is very neutral so if you are after deep bass you are better of with a closed headset like the beyers. But for competitive gaming it is fantastic as I can hear everything that is going on around me and exactly which direction it is coming from. I do have different headphones for music but for gaming I recommend the pc360(open) or mmx300 beyers(closed) if you are after more extension in bass.

Have you tried PC 363d? Are you sure that i am playing ONLY for usb sound Card?
I would guess the pc363d vs pc360 is similar to mmx300 vs dt700.
The more expensive one has few extras (usb soundcard/mic) attached compared to the cheaper one.
PC363D uses dolby headphones and even Xonar DGX that costs 30€ has it. So I see no point in the usb soundcard.

Still, if you are not a competitive gamer there are cheaper (and better) options than the sennheisers. Personally I would pick hd330 and/or dt990, I prefer all-arounder headphones over pure gaming headsets.

That's not overpriced I paid $170 here in Australia and for the quality and detail especially when it comes to music it could easily be priced a few hundred dollars more...

I also strongly recommend you steer away from the Sennheisers, they are ridiculously overpriced and sound like crap, not even their mic is all that good. Just buy a decent pair of headphones and attach a quality mic to it such as the Antlion ModMic. You can purchase a sound card if you wish- the Asus Xonar range is good for music and Creative make some great gaming-oriented sound cards such as the Titanium HD.

With headsets you generally get poor value for money and 99% of the time a decent pair of headphones + external mic will thrash them at anything.
