Hi guys

Hi guys!

I'm trying to raise my cpu to 4.5GHz but I can not let him stable with less than 1.3V, it is very high!

I saw a guide at the site of rog where he succeeded in putting the 4.5GHz 1.21v

I tried to let to 1.25v with LLC extreme unsuccessfully

My cpu is new, will be that came from a bad batch?

Motherboard Asus Maximus V gene

Cooler
Zalmam cnps10 performa with the 2 coolers with pwm

2 coolers 120mm on top, 1x 120 on back, 1x 140 on side all cooler akasa viper with pwm
1 cooler 200 megaflow CM

Buying into intel's K series is mostly luck of the draw. You just happened to not get a real winner. There are chips that wont do 4.4 on 1.4V, and then there are chips that do 5.0 on 1.2V, you are somewhere in the low end of that, but not at the bottom. 4.5 at 1.3V should be fine for daily use as long as the temperatures are manageable. Good luck!

I would agree.

Anything higher than 1.3v is dangerous, anything below is fine. (most of the time)

Remember, even unlocked CPU's aren't guaranteed to overclock, you probably just got a poor batch.

Good luck with your overclocking endeavors!

I think it could stabilize at 1:28, tomorrow I do the test to 12 hours or more
