Phew, so I didnt take any risks with vodka xD just went for Ipropanel or whatever its called and wiped all nice and clean.
Took of the stock cooler, this is what the paste looked like:
Does it look unusual?
Then I installed a Macho HR-02 on it.
CPU cleaned with Q-tips, isopropanyl and a tissue for glasses.
But when I put the cooler on it was sliding around a bit on the greasy paste while I was afixing it
Anyway Prime95 test shows these temps (Large FFTs for maximum heat)
What do guys think? It this CPU overclockable? Was the 100C due to improper mounting of the cooler?
I will run a rendering test like Tuesday night and post the results shortly.
Just ran Vegas, this is a snapshot after like 20 minutes
Temps were around 50C-55C.Edited by Gero2013 - 9/26/13 at 1:22pm
