A 27in 1440p monitor has a higher ppi than a 30in 1600p....
Ppi isn't that important as it is pixel count that matters.
A higher PPI will only make the artefacts smaller.

See I cant be bothered risking getting micro stutter with 2 gpus; I know AMD keep releasing drivers but honestly AMD drivers are complete garbage and I wouldnt trust them to bring out a be all end of driver to solve all the CF problems.
Ill just wait and see how much a 290 is then, or 290x if i get lucky and its cheaper than I imagine it will be.
They'll have hardware based frame mettering.
And really besides the horrible layout of the controll panel AMD's drivers are rather good.
