I've also seen boosts up to 100% on certain maps in certain CPU limited locations. I think my GPU's can now get to work without CPU holding them back.

You know I'd rather have Mantle for Civ 5 just played some of that again and late game it runs slugish over a minute a turn on maxed players and cities.
The worst thing about it is that most of the programmers are actually on the Oxide team Civ 5 is one of those games that deserves some love. Rather than stupid Phython code that can't even utilize 2 or my threads to the fullest. A turn should take no longer than 3 seconds to load no AI is that intensive.

I hope Civ 5 gets a rewrite or a later version gets it because I don't think single cpu core perf will ever get high enough to make up for the lack of threading.

So i reinstalled windows 8 -> 8.1 because i had issues with 14.1 - but turns out it was totally unneccessary (i was unable to overclock my monitor because i needed a new atipatcher file). Anyways im up on 8.1 now and Mantle seems really bad. Random half second stutters, and when it is smooth its exactly the same as DX11.

This is on various 64player maps 1440p High settings (AA off HBAO on).

I forgot to disable UPLS so i guess this will improve it?

BF4 + 14.1 patch seems to be even buggier/slower than before. Anyone else have this issue?

Update your ati patcher. They put a new one out a couple of weeks ago that works. I was using an old one and thought it didn't work as well, but when I checked they has a new one that worked.

Will do hopefully its better.

Simply flipping the renderer from DirectX 11 <-> Mantle is all you need to do? No need to restart the game for it to take effect? If so, that really makes seeing the differences easier.

Yea i realized that something was up since a fresh install of windows and the 14.1 drivers still didnt work with atipatcher...then i realized there was an updated one. Argh..coulda saved me a couple hours reinstalling (and the countless hours reinstalling apps/config as i need them)

Oh well - i guess fresh windows isnt so bad.
