I've got that star swarm bench and 14.1 driver. Just tell me what settings you want me to run it at and I'll post the results.

FX-8350 4.95 GHz & 7870 XT 1200 MHz. DX11: 8,104 frames in 360 seconds, Mantle: 15,764 in 360 seconds.

My request is this. Go into the custom_settings.ini file in the Star Swarm folder, & enable "Motion Blur" it's some fancy motion blur that seems to be the single most intensive setting known to man. It took my results from like 30fps to 7. (on nvidia dx11)

R9 290X + catalyst 14.1 = halfed framerates every cold boot. both dx and mantle

reboot and the framerate is back to normal.

1 means on right, 0 off? If so then motion blur was already on in the custom settings.ini. In DX11 it does indeed drop to crazy low ~5-10 FPS. In Mantle in those situations it was more 17-30 FPS.

Ive the same issue, bf4 and tomb raider for example crashed after a second.
i dont know what happens at a cold boot. i uninstalled my old driver but that didnt help. i used DDU to uninstall, so it should be clean.

im back to 13.12.

Yup, as M3TAI already indicated, that setting is the _regular_ motion blur available on the GUI, in Custom, Extreme, and High settings. And yeah, it brings DX11 to its knees.
