Did anyone tried Core 2 Duo CPU with some sort of powerfull graphic card?

Give the results, please! wink.gif

I find distance being key for multi monitor. I'm a good 20-24 inches from my 3x 26.5 inch wide screens. If you are too close you cant make use of periphery and it causes lots of strain headaches. I also find being level with the top of the monitor helps.

In the U.K., health and safety legislation suggests having your eyes level with the top of the monitor so you are looking down on the screen slightly. Failing this greatly increases eye strain.

Increase distance, reduce height on the monitors, reduce size of the monitors, reduce brightness, increase the ambient light in your room and maybe throw some gunner optics in there should = long viewing time before noticing strain.

Yep that too, mainly just wanted to point out to these guys that there isn't just 1 factor in it smile.gif

Is AA expensive from a performance point of view? YES. Can it cause your frame rate to tank? YES. IS it causing input lag on your PC? eh.......are you still generating more frames than your refresh rate?

I am no genius and I am not trying to argue you with ya Rick, I know it seems that way. But I don't believe it causes any input lag if you have the horsepower. And if it does, than it is so slight that it is negligible. as in even more slight than 1ms slight, as in nano seconds slight.

Lastly, I tend to be of the school of thought that 23" and 1080p is essentially the same pixel density as 27" and 1440p. You know what that means don't ya? Yeah aliasing is just as bad. You might sit back far enough not to notice it, but it is still there just as bad as ever.

Pretty sure 27" 1440p has a smaller pixel density than 23" 1080p....108ppi vs 96ppi. Jaggies are more pronounced on 23" 1080p (and esp 24") and needs AA, for 27"/1440p its more a luxury imo. I only turn on AA if i can still keep ~100fps minimum.

Smaller but not by much at all, which is why I said essentially. I posted earlier the exact pixel density, and I didn't want to be redundant. Definitely not enough for me to turn off aa like It's 1999. To each his own though, we all like different things.

My cousin just built a new PC (4770k and my two old HD7970s), he was having problems getting Mantle to run smooth (bad FPS around 60).

He removed the user.cfg he was using and also deleted the Mantle files in My Documents/Battlefield 4/cache folder, this more than doubled his FPS (130~140).

Maybe worth a try for anybody getting really poor FPS with Mantle.

Here's my Starswarm results.

they have to start paying more attention...
Because they worked on DX too wih frame pacing and dual graphics

I'll try this later, just got back from eye doctor with dilated eyes... Can't really see. Can barely read these posts rolleyes.gif. My Mantle FPS in BF4 is much worse than DX11 and then there's the stutter/hitch whatever you want to call it.

Edit: Didn't work for me. In test range with DX11 get ~84 FPS staring at a certain spot. Mantle ~54 fps with stutter/hitches into 40's looking at the same spot. frown.gif
