Bitcoin mining? Do you even know what are you talking about?

I had quadfire 7970s from april 2012. And its still working great but i moved to trifire. If you have any problem its either specific system problem or user error. Both nvidia and amd doesnt have any big BUG on their driver.

Nvidia just released maxwell with increased mining perf. That means that nvidia is moving to mining too? No gpus are processors with a lot of power for many segments.

And asic will kill again SCRYPT minign soon enough

And i dont know how you compare the drivers with mining performance. You know that without proper drivers you cant mine?

I believe I warned you before that sound blaster Z sound card can cause conflictions with alot of software especially Mantle and that soundblaster Z can also impact DirectX crossfire performance and give odd behavior and errors and often BSOD's dont ask me why but I can promise you it can do this it messed with my trifire and even 2 card crossfire 7970's horribly and the R9 280X is a revamped / rebadged 7970 GHZ edition.

I also want to point out many games have issues when the sound blaster Z is installed and software for it is running crysis 3 and far cry 3 are examples where I had to remove the sound blaster Z and its software to get my crossfire and such to scale / run properly. The only thing I can figure is the sound blaster Z tries to do hardware accelerated sound processing and well as many will point out that has not been functioning properly or truly supported since the windows XP days but keep in mind they are trying to bring it back hince AMD TRUE audio.

look online and you will see it often is other hardware specific mainly having to do with Intel CPU's and Nvidia GPU's and the sound blaster Z hangs FPS drops and BSOD's add to it often broken crossfire scaling is common with the SBZ installed look it up many have had these issues and always comes back to removing SBZ sound card and software and problem is resolved 90% of time many say they have way higher CPU usage at random times when they got the SBZ installed and running which can cause unusual performance.

Do you experience these issues with your R9's? SBZ seems fine for me right now.

So @repi Johan Andersson should be getting finished with his Mantle talk any second now, hopefully we'll get those slides uploaded ASAP.

I gave my SBZ away due to got tired of all the issues and it causing blue screens and such minute I removed it and software related to it issues left reinstall same thing over again I fought with it for like 6 months then finally gave it away.

What other issues did you have? Can you describe in detail? What hardware were you running? Did you ever conduct any experiments? Which 3D applications gave you the most issues? Were some of your issues related to CPU performance or CPU usage or CFX scaling? If so, which applications and what hardware?

Thank you.
