what is your system page file set at again PLZ set it to 12gb-16gb on main system drive this eleviates the low virtual / page file crash or slowdown issue and restart PC after doing this for it to take the settings of increased page file size.
by running 12gb-16gb of pagefile and all cores unparked along with trifire R9 290X's I literally get 1hr or more of playing BF4 before I get any issues and once that occurs I shut game down completely then restart it around 5 minutes later and good for another hour or more of continual slaughterfesting.
I want to say as for the explosions issue I don't have issues with that I run maxed out no problems and well the only issue is after a hour or more I get a slight slowdown that will progress to get worse unless I shut game down let set for 5 minutes or so aka bio break / snack break then I can get back into it without issues.
PLZ keep in mind my GPU's ( 3x R9 290X matrix's ) and CPU ( AMD FX firstname.lastname@example.org x8 ) are all on a extreme liquid cooling setup ( V8 5 core copper / brass car radiator and a large cummins transmission cooler between GPU's and CPU ) and temps are not an issue ever and keep in mind I got a 5.1ghz x8 AMD FX 9590 I am running and 16gb ( 4x 4gb ) of 1866mhz corsair dominator platinums ran at 1866mhz with manually tightened timings.
I want to say the reason cooling is far from an issue I can efficiently cool upto around 5000-7500+ watts worth of heat with ease and my math puts my rig with 3x R9 290X matrix's + 5.1ghz x8 FX 9590 around 1200w-1400w worth of heat so again my coolant barely ever goes above ambient temps even under 100% load. I also use a special homebrew coolant I make myself that lasts for 3yrs or more without issues of flushing or changes and lubricates and protects from corrosion on all items in my loop and does not grow algea and such. I also have a coolant chiller designed for a 180+ gallon aquarium that will take coolant temps upto 30c below ambients but I rarely ever use it no need and when I do I deal with sweating of blocks and such but can easily do so by only running it 5c-8c below ambient this makes sweating very manageable.
I also want to point out my car radiator and really large trans cooler were both new not used and have had nothing but my coolant in them ever which I would like to add is also non conductive I spilled over 1 quart of my custom home brew coolant directly on a running machine motherboard / GPU / ram and have also had an issue where it got in the PSU without any issues what so ever.Edited by rickcooperjr - 10/20/14 at 10:10am
