I wish people will stop making promises and deliver. The more they delay the more we expect from mantle. We discover more and more about mantle from the demos, slides and so on. I suspect people are going to be disappointed in Mantle cause they speak about what stuff you can do with it and we as customers think it's cool and we speculate how much we think it will improve. I was ok at first with 10% improve performance but now if I don't get 50% improve performance minimum then I feel it's not worth for the developers working with Mantle API.

I hate complaining like this but what can we do. Me as an AMD user coming from Nvidia was excited about this cause this is also one of the reasons trying out AMD apart from pricing cause paying the smae for 2xR9-280x crossfire than 1x GTX780 is just insane from Nvidia but with Nvidia you get less stutter more game compatibility etc etc. I know it's not AMD but in all honestly I'm sure AMD is also pissed at Dice/EA not releasing the mantle patch. I also feel every day that goes past without mantle the more engines won't be using mantle. AMD say they excited to announce that BF4 will be using Mantle but no one said it's coming this year. They only said it might come out January and not what year. For all we know is it might come next year or the year after that. Maybe I made the wrong choice going AMD and should've sticked with Nvidia.

AMD Mantle is indeed failing us, sounds like it may go the way of Phsyx.. Great technology that is ultimately gimped and shoved into a corner or at the very least not implemented to its full potential - Nvidia. Im still mad at what Nvidia did to Physx, it could be much much more powerful than is implemented by Nvidia. tens of thousands of particles on the screen at once (by this time millions) but no all we get is some cheap smoke effects and tressFX which barely works. I'm afraid this may happen with AMD mantle, it will come out sometime.. but it wont be implemented to its full potential.

Yeah mantle will go the same way as physics as only a hand full of games will be using it

More EA and Dice's fault for delaying BF4 Mantle Update but anyways Thief is less than 2 months away.

Then I suppose your hands are rather big? 20 games as an teaser to draw in more game developers.

Well I will believe it when we actually get to use mantle for real. At this moment those 20 games meas nothing to me untill the first game get's mantle in their engine.

Speaking of BF4, I found that memory test Corsair conducted. They claim 32GB gives higher fps in BF4 compared to the same RAM specs via 16GB kit.

Maybe Mantel might change such results.

Not sure why everyone think Mantle isn't ready. I think this is on Dice/EA. Cant remember the engine ( started with an O) but the guy said he implemented Mantle into their engine in 2 months by himself in his basement. Mantle has been done as an API for months and previously worked on for 2 years. So Mantle is ready. My guess is they rather have their game running well first before Mantles release. It would suck if GCN GPU were running huge frames in a PVP game, whereas all others were having issues ( that Mantle may alleviate).

So you really would be disappointed if you got a 10-20% increase in framerate from Mantle... which has cost you Nothing - oh and then the future benefits for Developers aren't even something we will see yet - as BF4 is a part of a series, ie. they were going to stick with the same type of gameplay!

Wait for the games which are 'Brand new' concept wise and then complain. While getting the extra performance also...

Just be happy they're making a good step forward for gaming on PCs!
