Intel took on more companies production of chips than they could produce hurting theyre end they took on ARM processors http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/front/archives/2013/11/23/2003577491 http://www.pcper.com/news/Processors/ARM-TechCon-2013-Altera-Produce-ARMv8-Chips-Intel-14nm-Fabs and is working a deal with APPLE to produce theyre chips http://www.forbes.com/sites/nigamarora/2013/11/22/intel-strategy-shift-could-bear-fruit-with-an-apple-chip-deal/ and is also trying to do so for many other companies from info I found other day they have stretched themselfs to thin to produce theyre desktop / laptop line of CPU's at full capacity and will be using other foundries to do so or simply wont produce many of theyre own.

I am sorry I cant find the link I found it a few days ago about them taking on more work than they can complete without it affecting theyre own fab work.

you would think fab 42 would be open for business if they were stretching them selves thin.

That they have and now very few companies even want to work with Intel because of theyre bullying and strong arm tactics / illegal practices that often bring on legal reprocusions AKA dragged around the world into FTC Anti Trust hearings / lawsuits and such and then the companies that work with Intel have the FTC sniffing theyre butt and doing random audits / raids / seizures of documents and such for the next decade or more.

Very short but a very good read http://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=62d44268-63b2-426b-881e-0c87de37464b another good one http://www.computerweekly.com/news/1280093466/FTC-claims-victory-in-battle-with-Intel

I will get off Intel subject and allow the conversation to go back to Mantle even though we wont have any more news or any new topics to talk about it likely for a while to come.

yeah but it officialy got the probing and investigations started and other companies would prefer to avoid it because it looks bad for them from a legal standpoint equivalent of one of us hanging out with a drug dealer we would likely be thought of or seen as a druggy or also a drug dealer because of it and those brandings stick for a very longtime usually for most of your life if not entire life hince why companies avoid working with Intel over theyre rough legal past and past history all around.

Once a bully and with legal record to prove it usually always a bully just like a murderer is always a murderer or a rapist is a rapist period time doesnt fix those brandings / charges or change how general public will see you. Facts are general public really dont know about Intels past and how they actually held tech back by doing what they did or even how it affected us the consumers it caused many companies that had potential in the CPU area to be bankrupted / destroyed and also caused overpriced hardware to be forced down our throats without us knowing any better or having any options. That is because they blocked retailers from selling other brands of CPU's and such only one that survived out of 5 I can think of was AMD even IBM left the PC market and went to servers over it.

sooo... which is it? Intel is a rapist which no one wants to do business with? Or, intel has so many work orders from different companies that they can't keep up and are stretched thin to the point of issues?

my next build wich will be soon, i will be using amd cpu's. intel and nvidia truly seem to have the market locked up price point show that. dont get me wrong i have never had any issues with my nvidia gpus other than the prices, and intel cpu's are pricy as well. ive ben looking at the fx line of cpus and the apu line of amd. in your opion truly which cpu would you go with knowing your going to be running some pretty high end gpu's in crossfire or maybe just a single gpu?? i know the a line cpu has the built in gpu chip but how usful is that when using higher end gpu's? sorry for the noob style question but im realy looking toward going amd with the cpu now and i have never owned one. i hear alot of great things about there ability to overclock. my other quistion is why dont we see more over clock copetions being won by a amd cpu over and intel. intel has not done me wrong but to get there higher end cpu's i have to take out a feaking loan. mad.gif

Who told you that?

It's true man, the next thing AMD will release will be better. I'm in the know, so keep it hush hush.

I was pointing out simply they gimped our first glimpse of GCN2 and only released it to help with the optimizing Mantle for GCN2.0+ that was all I was saying anytime they do a single release like this they always have a special purpose or reason for doing so think about it otherwise they would have released a full line of GCN2 instead of 90% of them being a rebadged GCN1.
90% of their stuff is a rebadged because 90% of their competitors stuff is also rebadged

True enough. @least Nvidia rebrands are all the same architecture. AMD rebranding Tahiti probably means the next architecture will be loaded with re-branded hawaii. You don't see Nvidia pumping out 2 Kepler cards with 100 fermi cards.

If you truly plaan on running more than 1 card so crossfire/sli and want to stick with amd for your cpu...the fx8350 would be your best bet...however if you can stretch the budget I would def. grab a i7 4770/4770k over a 8350 anyday but either way both cpu's will get the job done.
