Let's play Guess The Temp :))))

Thread Starter
I know this post could go in any number of threads BUT I figured I'd open myself to critique from a larger audience here....

CAN ANYONE tell me what my actual CPU temp is??????? I snapped the following screens within seconds of each other using all of the most popular apps (including EasyTune6, the one that came with my motherboard)...

The info I've gathered so far is that my processor (the A10-6800K) should idle at 27-35C, work in the area of 50-55C and has a thermal ceiling of 74C. The ambient temp in my room is 23.3333C and I'm cooling using a Corsair H60 and Arctic Silver 5 for paste. The only apps open besides the monitoring software was Chrome (2 tabs) and Windows' Snipping Tool. My Node 304 case is open and all three fans are going full blast.

The one temp NOT shown is the BIOS which places the temp at 35-37C

Anything constructive is GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you much for the helpful responses... I reapplied Arctic Silver and ran Prime95 and my temps stayed in the 50's so I'm happy. My confusion stemmed from all the different readings on all the different monitoring tools... in the end I decided to stick with EasyTune which is what came with my Gigabyte Motherboard smile.gif

I just look at the one that gives me the highest temps and go by that

You seem to have a very high system_/motherboard temp at 40c, mine is at 28c-30c. I think you should consider to rearrange or get better or more fans for better case ventiluation.

The One and Only true TEMP is in your Utility that came with motherboard in this case is ET6. Every manufacturer has one and they are the closest to accurate you will get. The second most accurate is CoreTemp but you have to adjust the offset under full load for accuracy. For mine GA-F2A85X-UD5 is 17c.
BTW, your System Temp is High, mine is 30-35 max.
