Possible 750D Purchase, Question Regarding Water Cooling

Thread Starter
Hello all!

Just as the title states I am thinking about picking up a 750D. The only concern I have is regarding the cooling capability of a 360+240 radiator combination. I will probably purchase a XT45 360 and either a UT60 240 or Monsta 240 (both of these options will be push/pull). The fans I will use are AP-15s at around 1000RPM. At most, the loop will contain CPU, dual GPUs, motherboard block, and RAM block; at the least, the loop will just contain CPU and dual GPUs. I intend to overclock the CPU and GPUs as much as possible in both setups. Will the 360+240 combo be enough for both setups?

Even Monsta rads are some times tricky to fit in a 900D tongue.gif. You can probably do a single Monsta 360 in front w/ a slim 240 or 360 on top. Top is still a bit tight for something like the UT60 range so consider the XT45 or ST30s. How about a UT60 360 up front and an XT45 360 on top?

Btw, if you loose all your drive cages (like me tongue.gif), I bought a small dual ssd cage that attaches to a slot on the rear mb panel of the case.

Push pull on a top mounted XT45 360 is going to be very touch and go and dependant on what motherboard is used.
Small size, very low noise and low temps are impossible to combine. You really need to choose two of the three. A 360 and 240 can cool two GPU's and a CPU no problems at all, but 1000RPM fans is severely restricting that ability.

Don't bother with the monsta rad ... they aren't worth the space they occupy.

Oh the fans are AP-15s, I tend to run between 1000-1200RPM as they are still quiet enough for me at those levels. As for the top, it will only be push hence why I would buy a XT45. I tried wording it so that only the front UT60 or Monsta would be push/pull but it is still a little unclear.

Precisely wink.gif

As Jakusonfire said, Monsta rads will take up a lot of room. You have to way in this factor. I sold all three of my Monsta 480s when i got my 900D.

Top seems ok with a single bank of fans with an XT45 and the front can do a UT60 360mm w/ push/pull (if you wanted too).

honestly, i'd just go with a a 60mm thick rad and a single set of fans over a 45mm thick rad with 2 sets of fans to begin with, i'm sure a ut60 with a single set of fans with be pretty awesome, and yea, i'd go with a ut60 rad in the front no point in getting a monster for just 2 video cards and a cpu

I should have probably edited the first post to clarify that I would do XT45 in push, and UT60 or Monsta in push/pull.

Good information, I will most likely go with a XT45 for the top in push and a UT60 for the front in push/pull since I have plenty of AP-15s lying around. Thank you everyone for the help. +1 to those who helped
