Hi all.. i am thinking of replacing my 9700 with a tuniq tower, i was curious if anyone has heard of boards warping or being broken by the weight of that thing hanging out there? Just something on my mind

The Tuniq isnt that heavy. I switched from a Zalman9500 and that felt heavier than the Tuniq. IAs long as its seated properly on your board, you wont have a problem.

cool... its not so much the weight as much as how far it hangs out like that I need to measure to see if one will fit in my case next

Yea the thing is pretty tall, it actually touches the case door on my chasis, but I've got a big fan there. Height is your only concern I think.

I still believe in adding a support for the big boy FHS, just to much weight IMHO!

if you're afraid of it, just tie two strings to each pole and make it suspend from the PSU grill or something...

lol the solution is use is to leave the case on its back at all times. My case is messy enough without adding more things.

When I put mine on I thought the board would be pulled down a little. It wasn't at all. As long as you tighten all the screws on the motherboard and tuniq it should be fine.
