I don't necessarily want to slice through objects. I would probably end up accidentally chopping my arm off.
The same reason I don't have a high powered laser pointer. There would be that one time I'm not wearing my safety glasses and I would accidentally blind myself.
I would however like to pull a star wars kid with it. Nerf swords weren't real and didn't cut anything but that didn't stop you as a kid from pretending to slice and dice things.
