He may not want to spend $550+ on the motherboard and that's likely where the BE is to be priced.

X79 is X79 no matter how you try to remarket it... the IB-E support is coming from and being worked out via the bios.

Asus has done more than any manufacturer so far regarding this and a name you can trust imo...

the best overclocks as it is with the Ivy Bridge-E chip are coming from, or should I say on, Asus motherboards... and MSI is having problem just taking the IB-E above a 43x multiplier.

besides... where is the X79 Dark official owners club? folks on overclock forums all around the net just don't seem to own them for some odd reason smile.gif

Kingpin with the EVGA Dark leads the 3DMark score world records against the RIVE Black Edition:

yeah even that power supply was an EVGA... there's something fishy here, seems like kingpin has a sponsor? being I can't find an Asus section over at his website, no offense to kinpin and all.

but the world of GPU performance is ever changing, so who knows how long EVGA and k|ngp|n can hold onto these positions.

that was the briefest article I've read in awhile...

Thank you EVGA for providing us with this information.

none the less I wasn't comparing video cards... I was comparing overclocks, and one thing I know for sure is if the reader actually did buy the evga dark, they are going to be one lonely camper all on their own.

was EVGA head to head with ASUS at the Corsair OC Main Event San Francisco? cause tech sites just aren't picking up on this 12hr old article yet.
