What do I need in a 3d tv?

I am looking to get a 3d tv and I am not sure what I am looking for. I don't know what to look for in a regular tv either maybe I could get some help, it would be must appreciated. smile.gif

When I was looking for 3DTVs 3 years ago, I honestly saw a rare difference in visual or 3D quality.

 

2D to 3D is a gimmick and do not ever be fooled by it.

 

Just remember that the bigger the screen, the better the 3D immersion.

 

Also see if checkerboard is a supported 3D mode in your tv. Checkerboard is an old format and most companies are not implementing anymore, however 3DTVPlay has a mode where you can game with the checkereboard. Normally 3DTVPlay is 720p @ 60hz or 1080p @ 24hz, however checkerboard eliminates the limitation of 1080p allowing 60hz.
