Hi guys, I just bought two new memory sticks (2x1GB DDR2 800mhz) to match my other two sticks (The same) but now my system wont get past the mother board loading screen.

ASUS PK5 C.

A friend suggested I should set memory speed to dd2 667 in the bios and memory voltage to 2.1v but when I did that I just had no signal at all.

I can get it to work with three sticks, 3x1gb.

try booting with the new memory kit one stick at a time.
if thats good, try booting one stick at a time in different slots.

that should tell you if either the memory modules are bad or the slots are bad.

if they both are good, run memtest86 on your new memory.

Hi thanks, I did try booting with each stick in one slot an they all work fine, I now have 3 sticks in 3 slots so I know those work so I guess I should now try to boot with one stick in the currently empty slot.?
