Opty165 driving me nuts

This opty is drving me crazy.

I cant hit 3ghz so i stuck with 2.9ghz then i ran orthos for 5 hours and it was stable and today its not stable and just now stable again with the same settings.
Also what am i better of doing, shall i keep my ram and fsb 1:1 and keep loose timings or put my ram on a divider?

Try 2T instead of 1T.

If that don't work try loosening the timings

Run on a divider. A 1:1 will definately bring that OC down.

Powersupply may not be efficient enough to keep your voltages steady.

I would get a namebrand, 500+ watts. I would check amperage. More amps on a 12V rail, the better.

kaks, you have the option to up your chipset voltage. its in the advanced features below. might have to go to the secret menu (shift + f2, then alt + f3 i think)

you need to up that, lock your AGP and maybe use a bit more vcore. sometimes it takes up to 1.55v to get the 165 stable at 3 GHz. make sure also that CPU spread spectrum is disabled.

dont' bother loosening your timings or running them on a divider. they're just fine. one thing you might want to think of is to drop down your HT to 2.5x. that'll definitely make you stable.

just remember, DON'T MESS WITH YOUR MEMORY, THE TIMINGS ARE JUST FINE!!!!!
