Small FTT failure says your processor isn't stable for what ever reason... temp....voltage... voltage stability....few others

I have just hooked up my taagan 2force 530w psu.The other 1 i used was a hiper psu425w.Back to orthos again.

Overclocking with this psu is like overclocking from scratch again everything has changed.

since installing my new psu my temps are higher than before by about 4c
i droped my vcore a notch and it dosent like it.

I dunno what to do its hitting 59c on load before it was 55c on load on old psu.

Ive need to sort my temps out. ive lapped my cpu and my stock big typhoon.

Im thinking of putting a fan on my big typhoon but i want it quiet as possible but with a higher cfm.
Any suggestions ?

Take up voltage as high as it goes, memory frequency divider,, possibly too,

What is your vCore at atm ? 59c is way too high for a lapped cpu/big typhoon, are you sure you lapped it correclty on a flat surface ? Maybe you simply applied to much thermal paste too. You need a very very small amount of paste since both the cpu and the heatsink are lapped.

something's wrong w/ your mounting. you either put on too much goop or don't have it tight enough on the contact. the other option is that there isn't good contact under your IHS.

either way, what voltage are you running now on it?

You might have an extremely concave IHS also. Check the mounting and contact of your big typhoon and make sure its actually touching. Air bubbles will result in a TON of heat.

yep. unfortunatley i had that problem with my opty. took me awhile to get it right. even had to use black tape to make sure i got all the bubbles out.
